BankFXApi provides API access to foreign exchange rate data collected from publicly available sources, primarily central banks and financial institutions worldwide. Our service aggregates this data and makes it available through a programmatic interface.

Important: Your subscription is for API services and data access only. We provide the infrastructure, reliability, and convenience of accessing aggregated exchange rate data through our API.

3. Data Collection and Availability

3.1 Data Sources

We collect exchange rate data from publicly available sources, including but not limited to central banks, financial institutions, and government agencies that publish their data online.

3.2 Ethical Web Scraping Practices

BankFXApi follows industry-standard ethical web scraping practices:

  • Robots.txt Compliance: We strictly adhere to robots.txt files and published data access standards of all data sources.
  • Rate Limiting: Our data collection system does not make more than one request every 10 minutes to any single central bank or financial institution.
  • System Protection: We implement responsible crawling practices to ensure we do not overwhelm or negatively impact the systems of our data sources.
  • Search Engine Standards: We follow the same standards and best practices used by major search engines for data collection.

3.3 Data Availability Disclaimer

No Guarantee of Data Availability: We do not guarantee continuous availability of data from any specific source. Data availability may be affected by:
  • Central banks or financial institutions ceasing to publish their data publicly
  • Changes to data source websites or access restrictions
  • Technical issues preventing access to data sources
  • Data sources implementing access restrictions or blocking automated access
  • Changes in data publication schedules or formats by the original sources

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans with different usage limits and features. Your subscription grants you access to our API infrastructure and the data we are able to collect and provide.

4.2 Payment Terms

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

4.3 Service Continuity

Your subscription fee covers access to our API service infrastructure. We do not provide refunds if specific data sources become unavailable, as our service value includes the aggregation, infrastructure, reliability, and convenience of accessing multiple data sources through a single API.

5. API Usage and Limitations

5.1 Rate Limits

Your subscription plan includes specific rate limits and usage quotas. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary suspension of access or additional charges.

5.2 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions
  • Resell or redistribute the data without explicit written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

6. Data Accuracy and Liability

6.1 No Warranty

The Service and all data are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data provided through the Service.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

BankFXApi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Service interruptions or unavailability of specific data sources

6.3 Financial Decisions

The data provided through our Service should not be used as the sole basis for financial, trading, or investment decisions. Always verify critical information with official sources.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by BankFXApi and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The underlying exchange rate data is sourced from public institutions and remains their property.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
